Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing the right thing. Life is coming at all of us in a fast stream. We swim as fast as we can just to keep up. I am “mature”, that is past middle age and have the scars to prove it. I may have a different point of view than someone else. Why?
We all have a point of view dropped on us by various means. Maybe there is another point of view that is actually better for you. Look again, past what is decided as “right”. It could be useful to you.
In school we are told to memorize facts that we might not use often in real life. It might be good to know how to name the states on an unmarked map, but how far can that get you in real life?
Patriotism practically demands that citizens follow the main desires of the group, and the government’s desires. Killing others is unlawful, except when they are given the title of Soldier.
A lot of indoctrination goes into glorifying war, whereas the things that glorify life, Love and Compassion, are mocked as being weak, worth less.
We have many religions, each believing that their origin stories and gods are the right ones.
There is a great priority for money and “the economy”. What about the things that life is practically meaningless without, happiness, love, friendship, safety, food for health?
Parents with the priority to get ahead financially, may miss out on seeing the changing lives of their little ones in order to “get ahead”.
Watch out that you really choose what is good for you. Choose wisely.
