Every year the same thing happens. No matter where you live, it happens again. Spring vibrantly comes again. Remember last year about the same time? Every year, the cycle starts anew, and so many parts of nature wake up, and make amazing things happen, again and again. I grew up in Indiana where there are four distinct seasons. When I moved to coastal California there were only two seasons, Pleasant Enough and Really Fine. At least that’s the way I see it as a winter refugee. So the picture of all the yellow flowers shows the blooming of springtime in the foothills of California around the little town of Murphys, California.
What about the way that flowers can coat a whole hillside? It just happens, naturally. Imagine if we had to go and plant new stuff every year so that it wouldn’t look boring. We don’t need to imagine at all to see how wonderful it really is, just about every springtime.
What is it about the color of yellow? It is really hard to be depressed around yellow. Add the wonderful warm (compared to winter) air of springtime and get me outside. You know, where the air is just fine, certainly different than that air that has been indoors all winter.
Having beautiful, refreshing colors in your home is a way to keep yourself from becoming too stale during the winter months. A bowl with lemons or red apples is an easy start, and helpful when cooking or snacking. Colorful wall hangings are a boost for the spirit. One of my favorites is a gold fish bowl. They are low maintenance and almost like having an easy going friend at home. A wise investment, in yourself. Go for a gold fish or two.
